The first winner of Britain’s Got Talent - opera singer Paul Potts will be performing live in concert at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre as part of a line up of four new shows arriving at the Grand this Autumn.
On Friday 16 October, Paul Potts will be joined by guest soprano Catriona Murray in concert. Strictly Come Dancing sensation Brendan Cole returns to Wolverhampton due to popular demand, following two previous sell out shows in 2014 and 2015. His show, A Night To Remember will be a new production for 2016 and will be at the Grand Theatre on Friday 29 January. From Tuesday 2 - Saturday 6 February 2016, the Grand welcomes the National Theatre production of J.B. Priestly’s An Inspector Calls. From Stephen Daldry, the Oscar nominated Director of Billy Elliot, the production is hailed as the theatrical event of our generation winning more awards than any other play in history. The landmark production has thrilled audiences in the West End, on Broadway and throughout the world with its epic and wildly imaginative staging, raw emotion, evocative score, lashing rain and chilling suspense. West End leading lady Jodie Prenger will star in a brand new production of Tell Me On A Sunday – the musical composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Don Black, for one night only on Thursday 2 June 2016. The West End and Broadway hit charts the romantic misadventures of a young English girl in New York in the heady days of the 1980’s. This iconic musical, with a wonderful original score, features Unexpected Song, Take That Look Off Your Face and Tell Me on A Sunday. This new 2016 production directed by Paul Foster includes an intimate post-show chat with Jodie about life, love and playing the role of Emma.
