Rugeley Musical Theatre Company bring the Rodgers & Hammerstein classic South Pacific to the stage from 12 - 14 May.
Following the story of Nellie, a nurse on a Pacific Island during the Second World War, she falls in love with local planter, de Becque. Meanwhile, young marine officer Cable falls in love with Liat, but when Cable and de Bacque embark on a spy mission the two women wait in hope for their return. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the Tony for Best Musical, South Pacific flourished as the golden musical of Broadway's post-WWII golden era. Featuring a well-known soundtrack of songs, including There Is Nothing Like A Dame, Some Enchanted Evening and Happy Talk, the musical is a perfect treat for a mid-May evening. Running from 12 - 14 May at the Rugeley Rose Theatre, tickets are £10 (adults), £8 (children) and £30 (family). For more information, click here.
