Centre Stage Balsall Common will be performing the world premiere of a brand new play, Triple Cross, on 5, 6, 12 and 13 June.
The play has been written by two members of the group, Yazmin Zahran and Malcolm Brigs. Triple Cross is the story of three generations of the Cross family who have lived in London's East End since the 1930's. It looks at the relationships between the Grandfather, his son Richard and his son Jack. Each has a past that defines who they are, Grandfather lived through the war as a young man, Richard saw the terrorist attacks of the 80s first hand and Jack is a young man in the 2000s, what could affect him? As the audience is transported through these eras, the accompanying music helps to elicit a sense of time and place, with local singing group, Simply Purple, adding their vocal talents to an already strong company. Centre Stage Balsall Common present Triple Cross at Heart Of England School, Balsall Common (see map below).
